For those of you (my friends/followers) who don’t know already, I am joining the Navy. If you’ve ever wondered or cared what’s going on in my life…that’s the latest update. I don’t write on here much, but I felt this was kinda important to say. So yeah. I leave May 10. Most likely I won’t be back in VA for a good while because I’m entering the Submarine program and I aspire to become an officer very soon. If I’m physically good enough I’ll shoot for SEAL. Why join the Navy? I’m not sure. It’s a mix of things. Family tradition, call of duty (HA duty) to my country. And I guess I just wasn’t satisfied with waking up, going to school, then work everyday. Don’t get me wrong. That’s a good way to live I guess. Just not for me. I want to see the world. Education is crucial and very important for success. I know the military will provide that so I’m sure I can finish my degree in international relations while I’m in. How long do I plan to stay? I’m not sure. As of now I intend to make it my career and then retire and hopefully be offered a job with the cia haha. I just thought that with this unstable economy I want to provide security for my family, etc. Hopefully this was a good decision and I’ll see the road where it takes me. The end :)
